NOTICE 1.  SPCNI Web Site Remodel

This 15-year old website is being completely rebuilt during the summer and fall of 2011. Your suggestions and help will be appreciated. If you have and are willing to share good quality photographs of certain Pacifica iris growing in natural or garden situations, please contact our web person Steve Ayala, 929 Pepperwood Lane, Petaluma, CA 94952.

We are currently searching for photos showing plants of the Shasta iris's subspecies - Iris tenuissima purdyiformis. As now understood, populations of this unusual subspecies of the widepread Shasta iris, with thick leaves almost completely enclosing its stem, are only known to grow at sites along the Feather River canyon in Butte and Plumas counties, California.

And now,

TAKE ME TO THE WEB SITE!
