SPCNI established a scholarship fund in 2005 to help researchers working on topics of keen interest to our members. The goal of this fund is an endowment of more than $25,000, so that a minimum of $1,000 per year can be granted in support of important research on subjects concerning Pacifica Iris. Grant recipients are selected by the board.
This fund was initially set up in memory of a dynamic couple, Lewis and Adele Lawyer, who were instrumental in taking SPCNI from a small plant interest club to a nonprofit corporation with international membership.
